Has every member of the household agreed regarding the decision to Foster a dog? It's important that all members are aware and supportive of this decision.
Do you and your household members have the time to provide adequate love and attention to a foster dog? Keep in mind that foster dogs require extra attention, otherwise they would have been adopted straight from the shelter. Know that you are taking the task on of being the link between the shelter and adoption. We are pulling dogs that are not being adopted outright from the shelter for a reason, such as kennel stress, fear, lack of socialization etc. While in your care you are taking on the responsibility of house training/reinforcing, crate training, socialization, trust building, basic commands and minor behavior issues. You will be assisting in rehabilitation of medical issues and providing feedback to RLR as well as participating in the proper placement of your foster dog into a permeant home. Fostering is not a glamorous task but it is very worth the effort. You are often the only thing standing between these dogs being kenneled for the remainder of their lives or euthanasia and being successfully adopted in to permanent homes.
List all current pets in your home. Include whether or not all pets are up-to-date on all required vaccines.
Are all of your current pets spayed or neutered? If not, we may ask for more information.

Have you ever had a pet euthanized? If so, we may ask for more information.
Describe your method of pet training and discipline.

Red Leash Rescue will contact your vet; ensure that they are authorized to release information to our team. If you do not currently have a veterinarian, please enter "N/A" in this section.
Describe your expectations of welcoming and caring for a foster dog, including size, breeds and challenges you are comfortable working with.
Describe where your foster dog will spend the day and night. Include information about the amount of space the dog will have to himself and how many hours per day he will generally spend alone.
Who will primarily take responsibility for your dog's daily care? Who will transport foster to events and meet and greets?
Who will be providing medication administration if needed? Transportation to and from vet appointments if needed?
